Certainly, media technology is central to all other technologies and acts as a link. Diversity, Ideology, and Teaching Writing Throughout history people as well as animals have found ways to make life, as we know it simpler. With this ease comes a greater level of technology, which requires humans to once again adapt to this ever-changing society. In result, communication, understanding and knowledge plays key importance to how our society grows. Through trial and error we have learned how education works and the best method of teaching, but we still sometimes wonder what is the absolute best way. Teachers and students alike know the outmost importance of education. Everything from getting a job to being respected is based on your academic standing. The more accurate question has been what exactly should be learned? While noting the word success, an achievement of something intended or desired, I asked myself how much information is merely needed to survive in our society and how much is needed to be successful? I also sometimes ask myself how much of the information that I have learned is attained and used in my daily life. A new technological world is at large and you must uphold certain standards or you too will be left behind. I know that with the computer advancements that have been made in the last decade was nothing that my parents could have imagined in their wildest dreams. It's kind of unreal when you stop and take a look, but you must realize it is happening, the time is now and the best way to prosper is through education. I am a stern believer that education goes beyond high school. Not only does it apply to college but throughout life. As a child whose parents were unable to attend college I feel privileged with the opportunity. There was no question that I'd be enrolling in college after high school graduation. This experience will enable me to obtain the two things that I think are most important in my college career. That is to gain knowledge of the people and world around me, and become a critical thinker so that I am able to analyze any situation. The purpose of a college writing course to me is to help do both. I have realized that those are the two most important in that if you have the knowledge and thinking ability then you are open to learn. From elementary school forth I have practiced perfecting my English, as if it's not my native language.

Facts About Pygmy Seahorses

The common pygmy seahorse or Bargibants seahorse is one of the tiniest known vertebrates. This seahorse was named after the scuba diver who discovered the species in 1969 while collecting specimens for the Noumea Aquarium in New Caledonia. This tiny, expert camouflage artist thrives among gorgonian corals in the genus Muricella, which they hang on to using their long  prehensile tail. Gorgonian corals are more commonly known as a sea fan or sea whip.   Description Bargibants seahorses have a maximum length of 2.4 cm, which is less than 1 inch. They have a short snout and fleshy body, with many tubercles that help them blend into the knobby setting of the coral. On their head, they have a spine above each eye and on each cheek. There are two known color morphs of the species: pale grey or purple with pink or red tubercles, which are found on gorgonian coral Muricella plectana, and yellow with orange tubercles, which are found on gorgonian coral Muricella paraplectana. The color and shape of this seahorse nearly perfectly matches the corals on which it lives. Feeding Not much is known about this species, but they are thought to feed on tiny crustaceans, zooplankton and possibly the tissue of the corals on which they live. Like larger seahorses, food moves through their digestive system quickly so they need to eat nearly constantly. Food also needs to be located close by, as seahorses cant swim very far. Reproduction It is thought that these seahorses may be monogamous. During courting, males change color and get a females attention by shaking his head and flapping its dorsal fin. Pygmy seahorses are ovoviviparous, but unlike most animals, the male carries the eggs, which are contained in an on his underside. When mating occurs, the female transfers her eggs into the males pouch, where he fertilizes the eggs. About 10-20 eggs are carried at one time. The gestation period  is about 2 weeks. The young hatch looking like even tinier, mini seahorses. Habitat and Distribution Pygmy seahorses live on gorgonian  corals off Australia, New Caledonia, Indonesia, Japan, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines, in water depths of about 52-131 feet.
